What is that tool Bobby is working with in that tight corner?  You'll just have to ask him because he has a tool or he knows someone who has the right tool for the job and he'll tell you the trick is to have the right tool to get the job done right.  Carolyn is working on some finishing touches.

    • Nephew Mark Woodson gives
Aunt Carolyn a helping hand painting

    • Carolyn-trimming

Everyone who stops by gives of their time and talent and some even put a donation in our "Spare Change" Jar like 9 year old Chailynn Henderson of New York City... everyone can help... and we thank everyone for helping.

    • EE painting

    • Bobby powerwashing &  John Dowdy Avent clearing leaves & twigs

EE & Bobby go from one end of the spectrum to the next working and clearing and cleaning and filling and removing and digging and scraping and hammering and toting and hauling and cleaning... it's a brother-2-brother thing.
John is busy doing whatever he can outside.  He hasn't been inside yet because he needs a ramp.  There are many alumni members, friends and family who need a ramp and a railing to get into our Home Office Building and it is on our "To Do List".

    • EE sanding door

    • Bobby priming ceiling

    • Bobby-painting door frame
      (sometimes you stand)

    • Bobby-painting window frame
(sometimes you have to get down)

Bobby is a Master Painter and demands more of himself and produces more than the finished product can fully reveal.  He scrapes, dusts, washes, and plasters before he primes... then he paints and if it takes 2 or 3 coats to get it looking right.. then so be it!

About the Images

This is a showcase of before and after photos of our ongoing renovations and refurbishings of the Alumni's Clubhouse and Home Office Building.  There are many challenges but the story behind this successful project is that it is a significant part of our history and it belongs to the Alumni.

The Renovation Committee is steadily and diligently moving ahead as build-ing permits, donated funds, available volunteers and workable weather conditions allow.  Our immediate need is additional donations for repairs and replacements as follows:

  • window frames and glass
  • heating/air conditioning unit
  • access railings and ramp
  • shelving and bookcases
  • venetian blinds
  • upstairs ceiling/walls/floors
