"Presidential Call on President's Day"

   President E.E. Hodge of the C.C. Spaulding Alumni Assoc., Inc. made a surprise call to member and previous scholarship recipient, Cheryl E. Ashley-Henderson, the winner of the “CCSAA WordSmith Award” for assembling the record number of words
-342- from the letters contained in “C.C. Spaulding Alumni Association, Inc.” This was the first official contest of the CCSAA website. 
  Extending his personal congratulations, Pres. Hodge said, "Hats off for a job well done, Young Lady!  Your picture, along with other accolades, was on the “Winners Wall” at our Valentine’s Dance.” 
   When Cheryl inquired about her prize, Pres. Hodge stated, “You’ve won a whopper at Burger King and as the runner up, I got the Carribean Cruise!”  After much laughter, Cheryl responded, “I’ll take my whopper with pride and dignity.” 
   Pres. Hodge asked Cheryl, “What are you pursuing now, your Master’s or Doctorate Degree?”  Cheryl said, “My Master of Science in Education and Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology... my M.S.Ed.”  
   Pres. Hodge stated, “I’m proud of you and keep up
the good work.”
   “Thank you so much," Cheryl replied, “It was nice to get an official presidential call on President’s Day.”
